Issues of ethnic and cultural identity in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)

Abstract
Ethnic and cultural identity plays an important role in shaping people’s consciousness and selfawareness. This topic becomes especially relevant in multinational regions where different ethnic groups live side by side and coexist on the same territory. One of these regions is the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), where different ethnic groups coexist and interact, each of which retains its unique national and cultural identity.
