Legal regulation of digital technologies in the Russian Federation

Abstract

This article examines current issues of legal regulation of digital technologies in the Russian Federation, with a focus on the specifics of the legal field of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It analyzes the main directions of legislative development in the sphere of digitalization, examines the challenges and prospects associated with the introduction of new technologies, and studies approaches to legally establishing the status of digital assets, data, and artificial intelligence. Special attention is paid to regional peculiarities of law enforcement and possible ways to improve the regulatory framework to ensure sustainable development of the digital economy and protection of citizens’ rights in the context of societal transformation.
