Siberian officials in the mid-19th century: the bureaucratic apparatus of Tobolsk Governorate
Abstract
The article deals with the problems of the functioning of the bureaucratic apparatus of the local administration in Russia in the middle of the 19th century on the example of Tobolsk governorate. The main reasons for the low efficiency of the professional activity of bureaucracy in the context of the specifics of the region are analyzed.
