Abstract
The article is devoted to the philosophical and methodological features of the pragmatic school of the sociology of law. The positive aspects of the methodological approach of O. Holmes and R. Pound to the ontology of law are determined. Many theses of the pragmatic sociologist of law are relevant and should be in demand by domestic jurisprudence.
